For anyone under 30 the concept of socialism may be difficult to comprehend. After all, if an individual was born in 1985 they have no "real world" experience of what life was like when the U.S.S.R. was attempting to terrorize the globe. Therefore, I decided to explain the effects of socialism using video game parallels. Originally posted in five parts on Twitter, they are presented here now for your perusal:
Socialism explained for young voters-p1: Like PlayStation? Too bad-government (Obama) says you must play X-box games-or else!
Socialism explained for young voters-p2: Want that new game? Too bad-big brother says you must continue playing the old games!
Socialism explained for young voters-p3: X-box sales (govt revenue) have slowed. The One says you must pay per hour to play-is no longer free!
Socialism explained for young voters-p4: Like playing games late at night? Your govt issued time allowance has been changed by law.
Socialism explained for YV-p5: Since you insist on playing games not approved by govt-Your X-box will be confiscated-by surrender or by force.
We all, no matter our age or propensity for gaming, must understand that in politics one cannot simply hit the restart button when the game is over. One cannot hit the restart button if you don't like the way the current game is going. When, not if, Obama and the extreme leftists in Congress take away the perks they promised you during the campaign Obama voters will realize the restart button, like Dorothy's slippers in The Wizard of Oz, do not work as advertised.
